Technical scope

 

The ACDC 2020 Organizing Committee welcomes contributions in the following areas of AC and DC Power Transmission.


Contributions can range from research concepts and ideas to technical issues and industrial applications, and are encouraged from, but not limited to, the themes and topics in the following areas:

 

DC Technology

  • New theory, topology of DC transmission and distribution
  • VSC HVDC technology
  • HVDC power grid, DC distribution system, AC/DC hybrid power grid
  • Multi-terminal LCC HVDC, VSC-LCC Hybrid HVDC
  • UHVDC technology
  • DC equipment Advances, including converter, transformer, DC circuit breaker, DCSST, overhead lines, subsea and underground cables, super conductivity lines, gas insulated lines
  • Control, protection and measuring for DC transmission and distribution

 

Power Transmission and Distribution System

  • Electromagnetic transient, electromagnetic environment, lightning protection, grounding of AC/DC transmission and distribution
  • UHV AC technology and recent projects
  • FACTS technology and recent projects
  • Planning, modelling, computation, operation and maintenance of AC/DC transmission and distribution system

 

New Technology

  • Power semiconductors for AC/DC system
  • New materials for power transmission and distribution
  • AC/DC system for clean energy and energy storage, including offshore wind farm, solar power plant, nuclear power plant
  • Wireless power transmission
  • Novel technology of power transmission and distribution
